Animatic for a Foxy cartoon

My story boarding final. The video quality stinks because of the compression settings. I'll show you a better copy if you want later. This is not a final animation, just rough movements and positioning. It's a classic snow fight scenario with Foxy. I hope you like it.

1800s Still Life

It's finally done! This is my still life for my Intermediate 3D Maya class. This was the only assignment for the whole semester, so you really had to pace yourself. The requirements were: create12 objects using Maya and Mudbox and make to images/compositions. I am really proud of it, especially the way the textures, lighting, and colors turned out. The scene is about a lock smith who is trying to open the chest on the table. Overall, I learned a ton! And there is still oodles I could learn. :)

Foxy Designs

I created these for my story boarding class final. Foxy has always been a character I drew and made comic books with since I was little. So he holds a special place in my heart.

Apocalyptic comic

For my storyboarding class I had to design a one page comic. Margaret is a factory worker who wants the world to be a better place. Unfortunately, a nearby chemical factory explodes and her city crumbles. Radiation and mutant sea creatures threaten human existence.

I had fun working on this! It really stretched me. This is the first action comic I've done and I am proud of it. The last few panels get a little muddy, but putting this together taught me a lot. :)

Avio and Eatan

I bring you Avio the Ranger and Eatan the axe wielder!  Avio seeks revenge against the cruel regime who took away the wings of his people.  Now, flightless, they rely on high tech spacecrafts for travel.
Eatan is part of a fighting team with Tyga (the healing tiger in an earlier post).  He is one of the few who was taught to read the ancient cartographic language and keeps his team on the right path.

Mythical Tigers

I have always liked tigers, so I sketched up some feline fantasy creatures.  The top is an aquatic saber.  The bottom one fights off monsters and carries potions to heal his master.  I definitely want to draw more of these!

Airplanes

I finished these airplanes up the other day.  The first one is The Comet and the second is The Silver Wing. They are both based on real planes, I just stretched them a bit.

Lego Knight (3d)

This is Sir Patrick, my Knight in shinning armor.  He's on the look out for any I created him in the 3D program, Maya and rendered it in mental ray. I painted the texture on his torso and face.  It was a blast to work on!

Here's some Egyptian objects I stylized in my sketchbook. It was fun. :)

Lobster ship

Deep in the depths of the Atlantic lies the abandoned lobster ship.  No one dares enter for fear of seafood revenge.  I did this in 2 and 3 point perspective.

Snail in a lonely forest (3d)

I created this for my intro to 3d class.  It feels very painterly and clay-like.  I wanted to create a contrast between the snail's softness and the blocky shell and jagged trees.  There's a sense of uneasiness and danger in the environment.  Regardless, he keeps moving along.

Toy Redesign: Not your ordinary dragon

I redesigned my viking parasite toy to fit the theme: Not your ordinary dragon.  It had to resemble the old toy, but still be fresh and original.  I was inspired by Chinese lions and dragons.

Kronos (Updated)

This is Kronos the ancient underwater dinosaur  (more specifically the kronosaurus).  He enjoys swimming around and eating little fish.  Despite his menacing appearance, he really has a soft heart.

I really enjoyed working on this for a shape assignment. It somewhat emulates Charlie Harper's style found in the Little Golden Book of Biology.

Cedrik's parasite tongue

One day, Cedrik the viking yawned.  To his surprise he discovered his parasite tongue hybrid!  AHHHHH!!!
Will the parasite devour Cedrik? Or will he eat the creature? (after all, it came out of HIS mouth!)  You decide!

Tucker and Sydney go wild!

This is Tucker, a young rodent herdsman. Sydney, his camel, loves to race near the Ein-hara oasis. Tucker's parents always reprimand him for leaving the flocks unattended.
I created this for my Drawing for animation class.

Dragon and Pals Figures

It looks like Ms. Failure gave Foxy an 'F' on his assignment again.  As usual, he isn't too bummed about it.  Helper, on the other hand, is clueless as he stares contently at the tasty apple on his desk.

I made this out of model magic for a Christmas present.
They are based off comics Paige and I make.
